Bringing Sustainability to Our Chinese Facilities

Bringing Sustainability to Our Chinese Facilities

Since 2018 and strenuously during 2020, we manage an ambitious project to improve our environmental impact of our Chinese facilities by relocating them from the old commercial quarters of their respective cities to new industrial parks while upgrading its environmental design.

The relocation of Sanonda was completed at the end of 2020. The new plant is already at commissioning stage, including two state-of-the-art regenerative thermal oxidizers, upgraded biological wastewater treatment plant, odor and noise control. Special attention was given to infrastructure eliminating the risk of soil and groundwater contamination. Minimizing hazardous waste disposal is planned by the operation of designated solid and liquid incinerators.

Similar systems are going to be installed during the relocation of Anpon, which plan to be finalized during 2023. Meanwhile, in order to ensure continuity in production, waste gas systems were installed at the old site.
